1. The scholarship is open to any senior of a Mentor City school or student of a Mentor Area Chamber of Commerce member company***
***Mentor Chamber of Commerce Employees, its Board of Directors & family members are not eligible
2. The scholarship is to be used for education training beyond the high school level in any college, trade or technical school.
3. There will be no restrictions as to race, color, creed, gender, religion or disability
4. A minimum of two scholarships, in the amount of $1000 will be awarded. Providing the necessary funds are available, other scholarship awards may be given as deemed appropriate by the Mentor Area Chamber of Commerce Education Committee.
5. Must have educational plans consistent with Career-Technical field
6. Attendance in line for Certificate of Completion
7. If, for any reason, the scholarship recipient is unable to use the scholarship during the ensuing school year, the student forfeits his/her right to the scholarship.
8. The selection process will be made by the Education Committee based on the information submitted in this application.
9. The information requested helps the Education Committee understand the applicant’s situation. However, not all of the information is part of the criteria for awarding the scholarship. This should not preclude any student who wishes to further their education from participating.
